Sir:

In response to your inquiry of the 27th instant, addressed to the Attorney General ad interim, he has directed me to state that no Report has yet come to hand from the United States Attorney, Mr. Courtney, who was directed, under date of the 31st ultimo, to furnish this office with full information respecting the case of Mr. Morris and the "Electric Spark." Immediate action will follow the receipt of Mr. Courtney's reply.
