April 30, 1868. Hon. Leonard Myers, House of Representatives. Sir: Having communicated with the Secretary of the Navy relative to the League Island property, under date of the 25th instant, in accordance with your request for such action as would explain the District Attorney's connection with the examination of land titles, I have the honor to send you herewith a copy of the reply of the Secretary, of yesterday's date.
