Sir:

I am directed by the Attorney General, adinterim, to acknowledge the receipt of your account for legal services in aid of the United States Attorney, in the prosecution of Henry Keeler, for murder; and to say that he has approved the same, and transmitted it to the Secretary of the Interior for payment out of the appropriate fund.
