Hon. H. McCulloch,

Secretary of the Treasury.

Sir:

I have the honor to request you to issue a warrant on the Treasurer of the United States, in favor of Bushrod Birch, Esq. Disbursing Clerk, Treasury Department, for the sum of Two thousand dollars, ($2000:00,) and charge the same to the appropriation for the salaries of the Attorney General, Assistant Attorneys General, clerks, and Messenger, for the month of July, 1868.
