August 14, 1868. J. B. Read, Esq. Jefferson City, Mo. Sir: In reply to your letter of the 10th instant, I am directed to inform you that the opinion of the Attorney General in the case of the National Cemetery at Jefferson City was transmitted to the Secretary of War on the 16th of July last.
