Solicitor, P. O. Dept.

Sir:

I am directed by the Attorney General to inquire if you have any further information relative to the P. O. cases in the Northern Dist. of Mississippi, in which Messrs. Sale & Dowd were employed to assist the Dist. Attorney. Those gentlemen are pressing for a settlement of their account, and an early answer is respectfully requested.
