Secretary of the Treasury.
Sir:
I have the honor to request that you will issue a warrant on the Treasurer of the United States in favor of Bushrod Birch, Esq. Disbursing Clerk, Treasury Department, for the sum of Fifteen hundred dollars, ($1500:00,) and charge the same to the appropriation for the purchase of Law and other necessary books for this Office.
