I have the honor to transmit herewith a letter from J. W. Gurley, Esq., acting U. S. Attorney at New Orleans, enclosing a statement from U. S. Commissioner Augustin, in the matter of the German brig "Sadowa"— which I will thank you to return to this Office after perusal.
