December 6, 1869. L. C. Overman Captain Corps of Engineers, Austin, Texas. Sir: Your letter of the 24th ult. was received this morning. In reply, the town of Mount Vernon is in the Northern District of Ohio, for which George Willey, Esq. is the U. S. Attorney residing at Cleveland. Very respectfully, M. F. Pleasants, Chief Clerk.
