March 2, 1870. Hon. J. J. Martin Auditor for the P. O. Department Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of July 29th last, relating to the suit of the United States vs. Keehler, et al., and to say that it has been argued and decided by the Supreme Court in favor of the United States; and the opinion of the Court can be obtained by you from the Clerk of the Court.
