April 2, 1870. Messrs. Little, Brown, & Co. Boston, Mass. Gentlemen: I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 30th ult., enclosing invoice of Eng. law reports, together with your bill therefor,— and also the receipt of all the books named in the invoice, except those mentioned in your letter as now in process of binding. The unbound Volume of English and Irish Appeals, described in the invoice as "Vol. 1, part 4," will be returned to you by mail. Our recent order was intended to embrace only bound volumes; and you will please hereafter furnish us the said Reports, including the Statutes, promptly from time to time as they appear in that condition, and not in monthly numbers as issued.
