June 4, 1870. Hon. R. C. McCormick, Dear Sir: I do not know how the fact is, about which "various citizens of Arizona" ask you to inquire. I cannot see that there is any reason for furnishing them with information on the subject, and therefore should prefer not to ascertain. Very truly yours, E. R. Hoar.
