Sir:
In compliance with your request of the 26th ult., I herewith enclose a copy of the answer of Messrs. A. M. and M. E. Clark, to the bill of complaint in the case of E. S. Brown vs. Mark W. Delahoy, et al., which is taken from a copy of the same transmitted to this office by the District Attorney for Kansas, under cover of a letter dated the 7th ult. This is the only document containing a statement from those parties, touching the subject of your communication, which has been received here.
