July 2, 1870. Alexander McLeod, Esq. Drummondsville Ontario, Canada. Sir: The attorney General directs me to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 30th ult., and to say that no Register of convictions in the U. S. Courts is kept in this office, and that he regrets to be unable to give you the desired information. Very respectfully, M. F. Pleasants, Chief Clerk.
