I have received your letter of the 12th inst. asking for a copy of the Opinion of the Attorney General in the case of R. W. Gibbes, given to the Secretary of State. I have asked the Secretary of State whether he has any objection to my sending you a copy of the opinion. If he has none, I will have it immediately copied and sent to you.
