December 5, 1870. Hon. D. D. Pratt, U. S. Senate. Sir: I have received your letter of the 28th ultimo. recommending the Hon. A. L. Osborne as Associate Judge in Colorado Territory. At present there is no vacancy in the Judgeships of that Territory. Should one occur, your recommendation shall be respectfully considered. Very respectfully, your obed't serv't, A. T.
