Sir:

You are hereby appointed an assistant to the U. S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee during the present term of the U. S. Court, with a compensation at the rate of Five hundred dollars per month.

You will please transmit to this Department, with the acceptance of this appointment, a copy of your official oath.
