Secretary of State.

Sir:

I am directed by the President to request you to issue commissions appointing John A. Minnis to the office of Attorney of the United States for the Northern District of Louisiana, and David H. Mason, to the Office of Attorney of the United States for the District of Massachusetts, agreeably to the enclosed resolution of the Senate.
