January 17, 1871. Hon. W. C.A. Thielepape, Mayor of the City of San Antonio, Texas. Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 20th of December, ultimo, containing a copy of a resolution adopted by the City Council of San Antonio, offering to the General Government a suitable site for a building for a Post-office, Court House, etc. If the Courts of The United States should be removed to your city, and this Department should have any discretion in the preparation of of​ accommodations for the Courts, the resolution which you have transmitted will be borne in mind, and will receive respectful consideration.
