Memphis, Tenn.

Sir:

You are hereby appointed an Assistant to the Attorney of The United States for the Western District of Tennessee during the present term of the U. S. Court, with a compensation at the rate of Two hundred and fifty dollars per month, to take effect on and after the 3d instant, the date of your qualification.

This appointment is made to correct an error in the compensation in letter of appointment bearing date the 16th ultimo.
