Sir:

I send you a copy of the response of the U. S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York to a communication from this office, acquainting him with the complaints of Mr. Robert Avery, that there was remissness in the prosecution of Edward L. Patrick for a violation of the Pension Laws. Mr. Averys complaint having been transmitted through you, it is proper that you should be informed of the answer of Mr. Dorsheimer.
