Hon. E. McPherson,

Clerk U. S. H. of Representatives

I have received your letter of the 6th ultimo, informing me that you have selected for the publication of the Laws, &c. of the United States in Virginia the "National Virginian" at Richmond, in place of the "State Journal," and that the two official papers in the state of Virginia now are the "National Virginian" at Richmond, and the "Press" at Lynchburg.

Very respectfully,

A. T. Akerman,

Attorney General.
