Feb. 11, 1871.
Hon. Horace Maynard,
House of Representatives.
Sir:
I learn that the times of holding the District Courts in Montana are fixed by the Justices of the Supreme Court, and changed from time to time. In the year 1870, the terms of the Third District Court at Helena, which was Judge Lymes's District, were held on the 1st day of March, the 5th day of July, and the 3d day of October.
I have no means of knowing whether the arrangement for this year is the same.
Very respectfully,
A. T. Akerman,
Attorney General.
