Secretary of the Treasury.
Sir:
Your letter of the 26th inst. with accompanying papers, relative to the Internal Revenue case of Hogel Fisher & Co., was received to-day.
I recommend the acceptance of the terms of the compromise as proposed by the Commissioner, namely, that Hogel Fisher & Co. pay $400 as tax, $200 as assessed penalty, and $600 as specific penalty, and all costs.
