Augustus Ward, Esq.

Cincinnati, Ohio.

Sir:

Your letter of the 28th ult. relative to your account for services as Assistant U. S. Att'y. has been received. The account, if it ever reached this office, has been mislaid, and cannot be found. As the appropriation for its payment is now available, if you will send a duplicate, it will be promptly adjusted and paid.

Very Respectfully yours,

M. F. Pleasants,

Ch. Cl'k.
