Your letter of the 6th inst. submits for my consideration the Internal Revenue case of A. W. Bayer & Co. of Kansas. The terms of the compromise proposed are that Bayer & Co. pay
as tax | $922.75 |
Assessed penalty — | 804.25 |
Specific penalty | 250.00 |
In all | 1977.00, and costs. |
I recommend that these terms be accepted.
