In reply to your letter of the 30th ultimo, I have to inform you that your account for services rendered on behalf of the United States before the Surveyor General of California, touching Swamp and Overflowed lands, &c., was approved by the Attorney General on the 3d instant, of which approval I advised you on the same date.
