Nov. 9, 1871. G. C. Wharton Esq. U.S. Attorney, Louisville, Ky. Sir: I herewith transmit for your action certain papers received from the War Department in relation to frauds supposed to have been attempted upon the Quartermasters Department by S. G. Burbridge. Very respectfully, A. T. Akerman, Attorney General.
