I have received from you five letters, dated November 1st, 1871; one in relation to the Camp Grant masacre ; one in relation to the case of Governor Safford; one in relation to Bashford, the Secretary; one in relation to the Surveyor General; and one in relation to the late Marshal Phelps; all of which will receive proper consideration—and when they affect persons connected with other Departments the information which you have conveyed will be transmitted to the Heads of those Departments.
