Nov. 27, 1871, Hon. Noah Davis, U.S. Attorney New York. Sir: I have received your letter of the 24th instant, and in reply inform you that the Marshal of this District has served subpoenas on Paymaster General Brice and William T. Kent in the case of The United States vs. Eugene J. Jackson, et al. as appears from his endorsement on the enclosed subpoena. Very respectfully, A. T. Akerman, Attorney General.
