Dec. 5, 1871. Chester H. Krum, Esq. U.S. Attorney, St. Louis, Mo. Sir: In pursuance of the request of the Commissioner of Internal Revenue you are authorized to discontinue the prosecution of the cases against Morris B. Brown in your District referred to in the letter of yourself and certain Internal Revenue officers to the Comm'r of Internal Revenue, dated November 23, 1871. Very respectfully, A. T.
