Dec. 18, 1871. R. McPhail Smith, Esq. U. S. Attorney, Nashville, Tenn. Sir: I enclose an appointment of Harry Harrison, Esq. as Assistant to the District Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee, to take effect on the 10th proximo.
