Dec. 28, 1871. H. P. Rolfe, Esq. U. S. Attorney, Concord, N. H. Sir: I enclose the copy of an affidavit of Hanna W. Cochran, and a part of the affidavit of William R. Patten which have been filed in this office by parties who desire that the proceedings against Mr. Patten shall be stopped. I request your observations upon them. Very respectfully, A. T.
