Aug. 26, 1871. Mr. T. J. Burns, No. 20 Bedford street, Boston, Mass. Sir: There is no fund under my control appropriated for paying such services as are described in your letter of the 23d instant,—and I do not know that any other Department has funds for such a purpose. Very respectfully, A. T. Akerman, Attorney General.
