Sir:
I have just returned from Philadelphia, and find your letter of the 16th instant upon my desk.
A requisition for the amount of your salary for the present month will be drawn to-day, and I will request Mr. Conant, in charge of the Warrant Room, to have the draft mailed to you immediately.
