I am directed by the Attorney General to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 13th instant, and in compliance with your request, to enclose herewith copies of the act of Congress "to enforce the provisions of the 14th Amendment to the constitution of the United States, and for other purposes," approved April 20th, 1871.
