Nov. 20, 1871.
Hon C. B. Cole, James Jackson, and others,
Macon, Georgia.
Gentlemen:
I have received your memorial on the subject of the location of the new District or Circuit Court for the middle District of Georgia, should one be created.
I will bear in mind your suggestions, and will see that they are presented to Members of Congress who would take an interest in the matter.
I will say, however, that I regard the establishment of a new District as at present very doubtful.
Very respectfully,
Amos T. Akerman,
Attorney General.
New Judicial Dist. in Geo.
