Nov. 21, 1871. Horace H. Harrison, Esq. Nashville, Tenn. Sir: I enclose herewith a commission appointing you to the office of Attorney of the United States for the Middle District of Tennessee. If the same is accepted, you will be pleased to transmit to this Department a copy of your official oath, and also to inform me of the place of your nativity. Very respectfully, A. T.
