Nov. 25, 1871. R. M. Sherman, Esq. Knoxville, Tenn. Sir: By direction of the Attorney General, I enclose herewith a copy of the claim of Calvin C. Vest, of Capt. Golman Bryson's Mounted Infantry, of North Carolina Volunteers, the original of which was transmitted to this Department by the second Auditor of the Treasury of the 22d instant.
