By direction of the Attorney Gen'l I enclose herewith an order made by him authorizing you to appear in behalf of the United States before any Court or Commission of the United States in Tennessee for two months from this date.
The order is made pursuant to the provisions of the 5th Section of the Act establishing the Department of Justice. (16 Stats. p. 165.)
