You are hereby retained as special assistant to the U.S. Attorney for Louisiana, in the following cases in the Circuit Court: The U.S. vs. W. R. Whitaker, et al.; and The U.S. vs. Thomas P. May et al.

For this service, a reasonable compensation will be paid you, to be determined by this Department.

You will take and transmit to this office the oath required by law of District Attorneys.
