Sir:
You are hereby retained as special assistant to the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, in the prosecution of Joshua D. Miner in the Circuit Court of that District, for the offence of counterfeiting.
For this service a reasonable, compensation will be allowed you, to be determined by this Department.
You will take and transmit to this Department the oath required of District Attorneys.
