Dec. 18, 1871. Horace H. Harrison, Esq. Nashville, Tenn. Sir: Your letter of the 7th instant is received, and in pursuance of your request I have appointed Harry Harrison, Esq. Assistant District Attorney for your District—the appointment to take effect on the 10th proximo; and have sent his commission to R. McPhail Smith, Esq. U.S. Attorney for that District.
