Hon. T. W. Osborn,

U.S. Senate.

Sir:

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 24th instant, and to inform you that Mr. Conant's Commission as Marshal of the United States for the Northern District of Florida was sent to Judge Fraser on the 23d instant, with instructions to hand it to him upon his taking the oath, and giving the bond required by law.
