Sir:
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 3d instant, relative to obtaining photographic copies of two original papers in the case of Marvin N. Jones, which were drawn from the rebel archives of your Department to be used by the Assistant Attorney General at the Court of Claims—and in reply to inform you that instructions have this day been given to have such copies made at once and transmitted to your Department
I regret that your wishes in this particular, as set forth in a previous communication, should have been overlooked. Hereafter, I will see that photographic copies of all such papers are promptly transmitted to you.
