Oct. 13, 1871. Hon. Willis Drummond, Acting Secretary of the Interior. Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 12th instant, asking for a correct list of the names of the Judges, Marshals, Attorneys and Clerks of the Courts of the United States, and in reply have to inform you that an official register of this Department containing the information asked for, is in the hands of the printer, and as soon as it is finished, I will cause copies thereof to be furnished to you.
