Oct. 24, 1871. Hon. Hamilton Fish, Secretary of State. Sir: I am directed by the President of the United States to request you to issue a commission appointing George Andrews Esq. to the office of Attorney of the U.S. for the Eastern District of Tennessee, in lieu of E. C. Camp, Esq., suspended, agreeably to the enclosed Executive order. Very respectfully, B. H. Bristow, Solicitor Gen'l & Acting Attorney Gen'l.
