Nov. 3, 1871. Hon. Wm. W. Belknap, Secretary of War. Sir: I transmit to you the copy of a letter from Mr. McMichael, Assistant Attorney General, having in charge the business in the Court of Claims, and respectfully request that the assistance he desires from the Court of Claims may be furnished to him.
