Sir:
In pursuance of the request in your letter of the 12th inst., and of the direction of the President therein contained, the District Attorney for Kansas has been directed to consent to the release of Charles H. Hayden, indicted in that District for robbery of the mails, upon the performance of the conditions expressed in your letter.
