Dec. 16, 1871. Hon. C. W. Buckley, House of Representatives. Sir: I have yours of the 13th inst. enclosing a letter of Judge Keil's. I should be glad to comply with his request for a detective, but the fund at my command for such purposes is exhausted—and therefore I am unable to do so. Very respectfully, A. T.
